Updated May 2026. Buying cannabis edibles online in Ontario has become the fastest way to secure your preferred gummies, chocolates, beverages, and lozenges without waiting in line. At Ashario Cannabis, customers can browse live inventory, reserve edibles online, and pick them up the same day at any of our 4 GTA-area locations. This guide explains exactly how the reserve-and-pickup process works in Ontario, what edible formats are available, and the rules every adult 19+ should know before placing an order.

How to Buy Edibles Online in Ontario for Same-Day Pickup

To buy edibles online in Ontario for same-day pickup at Ashario Cannabis, browse our online menu, add edibles to your cart, complete the reservation, and present valid government-issued ID (19+) at the store. Reservations are typically ready within 15 to 30 minutes during business hours. All 4 Ashario locations operate 7 AM to 11 PM daily, 365 days a year.

Under Ontario's Cannabis Licence Act, private cannabis retailers like Ashario cannot ship products directly to customer addresses. However, online reservation followed by in-store pickup is fully legal and widely used. This is why browsing the Ashario product collection online and reserving for pickup is the most efficient way to shop. You see real-time stock, lock in what you want, and skip the browsing time at the counter.

The reservation flow at Ashario takes under 2 minutes. You don't pay online: payment happens in-store via cash or debit. There's no minimum order, no reservation fee, and no obligation to complete the purchase if you change your mind. Edible Formats Available at Ashario in 2026

Ashario Cannabis stocks every legal cannabis edible category authorized in Ontario: gummies, chocolates, baked goods, hard candies, lozenges, mints, cannabis-infused beverages, and dissolvable powders. All edibles sold in Ontario are capped at 10 mg THC per package under federal Cannabis Regulations, and every product carries the standardized THC symbol and excise stamp.

Our edible inventory typically includes products from Licensed Producers such as Wana, Bhang, Foray, Wyld, Edison, General Admission, XMG, Houseplant, Tweed, and Versus. Format breakdown:

• Gummies: the most popular category; available in sativa, indica, hybrid, balanced (1:1 THC:CBD), and CBD-dominant ratios
• Chocolates: single-serve squares and milk/dark/white varieties, ideal for slower digestion onset
• Beverages: sparkling drinks, teas, and shots; faster onset (15 to 45 minutes) than traditional edibles
• Soft chews and lozenges: sublingual absorption for quicker effect
• Baked goods and cookies: limited rotation; check live inventory

Why Reserve Edibles Online Instead of Walking In

Reserving edibles online at Ashario locks specific SKUs to your name so they don't sell out before you arrive. Popular gummies: particularly limited-release flavours and 1:1 ratios, frequently sell through within hours of restock. Same-day reservation guarantees you get the exact product you want.

Three concrete advantages our customers cite when they contact Ashario about reservation:

1. Inventory certainty: our online menu reflects live stock at each store, so what you see is what's behind the counter
2. Speed: pickup typically takes 2 to 3 minutes once you arrive with ID
3. Selection: you can compare 50+ edible SKUs in detail at home rather than scanning a wall display

Walk-in shopping still works perfectly, but for hard-to-find items like seasonal chocolates or new beverage drops, reserving is the only reliable way to secure stock. Our budtenders also recommend reserving when buying multi-pack edibles for events or weekend trips where running out isn't an option.

What to Bring for Edibles Pickup at Ashario

To pick up reserved edibles in Ontario, you must be 19 or older and present valid government-issued photo ID at the counter. Accepted ID includes Ontario driver's licence, Ontario Photo Card, Canadian passport, Canadian permanent resident card, or any provincial photo health card with date of birth. The name on your reservation must match your ID.

Payment at Ashario is accepted by cash or Interac debit. Credit cards are not currently accepted at most Ontario private cannabis retailers due to processing restrictions. There is an ATM available at each Ashario location for customer convenience. Bring your reservation confirmation (email or order number), though our team can also look up reservations by name and phone number.

If someone else is picking up on your behalf, that person must also be 19+ with valid ID, and they may be asked to confirm reservation details. Ashario staff reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who cannot produce acceptable identification, per Section 13 of the Ontario Cannabis Licence Act.

Ontario Edible Regulations Every Buyer Should Know

Cannabis edibles in Ontario are governed by the federal Cannabis Act, the Cannabis Regulations (SOR/2018-144), and Ontario's Cannabis Licence Act. Key facts:

• 10 mg THC maximum per package: no edible product legally sold in Canada exceeds this limit
• Plain, child-resistant packaging mandated federally: no cartoon imagery, no health claims
• Possession limit: the public possession limit in Ontario is 30 grams of dried cannabis or equivalent. Edibles convert at 1 gram dried = 15 grams edible product
• Legal age: 19+ to purchase, possess, or consume
• Consumption rules: edibles cannot be consumed in vehicles, near schools, or in many public spaces. Check your municipality's bylaws

For a complete walkthrough of Ontario possession rules and how edibles factor into the 30g equivalency, the Ashario blog publishes regular regulatory updates aligned with Health Canada bulletins.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I get edibles delivered in Ontario?

Private retailers like Ashario Cannabis are not currently authorized to ship to residential addresses under the Cannabis Licence Act. However, you can reserve edibles online at Ashario and pick them up the same day at any of our 4 locations during business hours from 7 AM to 11 PM.

How long does it take to reserve edibles for pickup?

Online reservations at Ashario Cannabis are typically ready within 15 to 30 minutes during regular business hours. You'll receive a confirmation when your order is staged at the counter. From there, simply walk in with your ID, give your name or reservation number, complete payment by cash or debit, and you're out the door: most pickups take under 3 minutes once you arrive. During peak evening hours (6 to 9 PM) processing may take slightly longer.

What's the maximum THC in Ontario edibles?

Every cannabis edible legally sold in Ontario, and across Canada, is capped at 10 milligrams of THC per package under federal Cannabis Regulations. This applies whether the package contains one piece or ten. Some products divide that 10 mg across multiple pieces (e.g. 2 gummies × 5 mg) for easier dose control. There is no legal "high THC" edible above 10 mg available at any licensed retailer. Customers seeking higher cumulative doses simply purchase multiple packages within the 30g equivalent possession limit.

Can I reserve edibles at one store and pick up at another?

No. Each Ashario Cannabis location maintains its own inventory, and reservations are tied to the specific store you select at checkout. If you reserve at Finch & Dufferin, the order is held at that location only. If you need to switch pickup stores, contact us via the Ashario contact page or call the store directly: staff can cancel the original reservation so you can re-reserve at your preferred location based on that store's live stock.

Do edibles expire, and how should I store them?

Yes. Cannabis edibles carry a best-before or expiration date printed on the package, typically 6 to 12 months from production. Gummies and chocolates retain potency longest when stored in a cool, dry, dark location, ideally between 15 to 20°C. Refrigeration is fine for chocolates but can affect gummy texture. Cannabinoids degrade with heat, light, and oxygen exposure, so always reseal packages tightly. Beverages should be consumed by the date printed and refrigerated once opened.

What payment methods does Ashario accept for edibles pickup?

Ashario Cannabis accepts cash and Interac debit at all 4 locations. Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) are not currently accepted due to industry-wide payment processing restrictions affecting most Ontario private cannabis retailers. ATMs are available on-site at each Ashario store. You do not pay at the time of online reservation: payment occurs in-store when you pick up, which means you can cancel or modify your reservation anytime before arrival without charge.
